WHY ARQUEBUS?

WHY ARQUEBUS?

Empowering societies to prevent the misuse of SALW

The Arquebus is a shoulder-fired firearm that was developed in the 1400’s and is the forerunner of the modern rifle. It completely revolutionised warfare, as it made its counterpart the crossbow obsolete.

Compared to archery, where it took many years of training to produce an effective archer, the Arquebus could be used after minimal training. This meant that many soldiers could be trained to use the Arquebus in the same time that it took to train a single skilled archer.

In the same way that the Arquebus inspired change in the way that warfare was conducted some 600 years ago, Arquebus can transform the way in which you leverage your people, technology and processes, to maximum effect.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ARQUEBUS LED TO

  • The deployment of the latest technology in a manner that maximised efficiency.
  • The development of effective training methods allowing subsequent wider use of the new equipment.
  • A change in working practice to use the new technology to maximum effect in a manner that had never been seen before.
  • The delivery of sustainable and longterm change in a manner that allowed users of the technology to become independently strong.

The entire philosophy upon which Arquebus is founded is our commitment to deliver significant and long lasting benefits to our clients.

When dealing with us you can be assured that our objective is not to focus on short term ‘fire fighting’ of problems, but to work together with you to maximise the true potential of existing or future technology, people and processes in a way that is guaranteed to stand the test of time.

Environment

ENVIRONMENT

As one of the UK’s 6 million small businesses which make up 99% of the UK’s enterprises, employ 60% of the UK workforce and generate £2.2 trillion of revenue to the economy, it is crucial that we take action and reduce our carbon footprint.

We are at a critical point for our planet, and to safeguard its future we must act now.

We are already mindful of our environmental responsibilities, however, throughout 2025 we propose to look deeper into ways to comply with environmental legislation and propose to set ourselves targets to help the world move quicker towards to a greener, brighter future.
