Advancing Forensic Excellence in Montenegro: Ballistic Shooting Scene Incident Reconstruction Training

In October 2025, Arquebus Solutions had the privilege of delivering an advanced training course titled Ballistic Shooting Scene Incident Reconstruction – Advanced Ballistic Training for Ballistic Examiners to the Police Directorate Forensic Centre in Montenegro, in collaboration with the OSCE Mission in Montenegro.

This specialist course was designed to deepen the expertise of Montenegro’s ballistic examiners in reconstructing shooting incidents, enhancing their ability to interpret complex crime scenes and provide defensible forensic conclusions.

Building upon previous foundational training, this course marked a significant step forward in Montenegro’s forensic capabilities. Participants engaged in:

  • Hands-on exercises
  • Case-based simulations
  • Collaborative problem-solving

All aimed at refining their analytical skills and operational readiness.

Dr Sandra Kovacevic, Head of the Forensic Centre, expressed her appreciation for the course, stating:

“I would also like to thank you for your professionalism and the effort you have shown in organising and conducting the recent ballistic training. Thank you once again for your cooperation and for the excellent collaboration we have had so far.”

Andy Williams, COO for Arquebus Solutions, stated:

This training not only strengthened in-country forensic capacity but also positioned Montenegro as a compelling case study for how OSCE supported initiatives can deliver measurable impact.
