TRAINING

Providing the essential knowledge to aid in the fight against firearms crime.

Arquebus offers an unparalleled range of training and development solutions that reflect our commitment to providing the essential knowledge to aid in the fight against firearms crime, be that Crime Scene Investigation or Senior Investigating Officer training, Arquebus is here to support you with your training needs.

VisionX

Developing Champions

At Arquebus we believe that training should be given by practitioners, people who use the very process, or system, that are being taught. By following this ethos, we can ensure the knowledge transferred is based on real-world experience and not just what it says in the manual.

We recognise from working with many organisations across the globe that capacity building means more than providing a short-term training fix. Our training courses involve practical and experiential learning, interactivity with participants, fully documented course material and a post-training report. Arquebus aims to create a ‘champion’ of the knowledge or skills as part of the training, to provide a basis for participants to create a self-sustaining environment for professional development and new staff.

Arquebus has a range of training courses available – they include forensic ballistics, investigation, ballistics intelligence and SALW control measures. A key component of Arquebus’ approach is creating interconnectivity between these disciplines to ensure information can flow between the laboratory, investigators, and the Firearms Focal Point.

Training

Building Forensic and Intelligence Capacity

Key areas Arquebus can support with training needs in forensic ballistics include IBIS training & integration, double casting, comparative microscopy, laboratory process development and ballistic fingerprinting (test-fire) programs.

Arquebus has provided numerous Double Casting courses around the world and is highly experienced in both the theoretical and practical application of the process. As such we can offer hands-on practical training that will ensure users have the necessary skills required to deliver the Double Casting process for years to come.

Our courses on SALW Controls include Firearms Registration and Licensing, Firearms Amnesties, Understanding Converted Firearms and Firearms Trafficking. Courses on Ballistics Intelligence aim to develop the necessity to produce intelligence and the role of a Firearms Focal Point.
