New Laboratories or Capacity Building

Our ballistic toolkits provide many of the tools a firearms examiner will need in the examination, classification, mechanical conditioning and test-firing of a firearm.

The kit consists of two layers of equipment, with additional tools held in the lid cavity. The kits are shipped with a standard inventory of tools / equipment. Additional items can be requested to complement our toolkits, such as chronographs or laser trajectory kits.

Customisation of our toolkits with donor or law enforcement branding is also available.

What is included?

The equipment included in our ballistic toolkits cover various tests and examination processes.

These include:

General and internal firearm examination illumination.
Measuring devices, including non-marking digital calipers.
Ferrite magnets for converted firearm analysis.
Trigger pull gauge.
Kinetic bullet hammer / puller.
Two stage hearing protection for range test-firing.

Forensic Firearms Analysis

Ballistic toolkits are ideal for equipping new laboratories with the equipment they need to begin examining firearms.

Some laboratories are missing vital components or have limited equipment since their inception, and with the support of donor agencies, can have their capacities enhanced with the necessary tools to conduct firearms examinations.
